ABOUT “MARTISOR” IN ROMANIAN CULTURE
In Romanian culture, Martisor is a traditional symbol of the arrival of spring. It’s worn by attaching red and white threads with charms, to clothing. It is customary to wear Martisor throughout the month of March, and people often exchange them as symbol of friendship and good luck. The red and white colors are associated with vitality, purity, and the renewal of nature.
